There are a variety of ways to get involved at Ronald McDonald House Charities of the Intermountain Area. Get involved, and help keep families close when they need each other most.

The impact our volunteers have cannot adequately be described with words. From the house to the family rooms, at special events and even off site they are making our mission possible by dedicating their time and talents; making families stronger and RMHC better. Explore the many ways, individuals, groups, businesses and other organizations are getting involved to make our house a home-away-from-home.

Volunteer Individual Options

Use your time, talents and heart to make our House and Family Room a home-away-from-home. There are opportunities for individuals to volunteer in many areas.

The Front Desk: Front desk Volunteers help with the check in and out process for families, give tours, answer phone calls, accept donations, sort donations, drive our shuttle and work on a variety of projects our staff needs help with.

Holiday and Special Events: Individuals are always needed to volunteer at special events and charity fundraisers throughout the year as well as during the holiday season.

School Service: School Service Volunteers help out with numerous projects in many departments and program areas. They are designed for students 16 years and older.

Volunteer Group Options

Bring your friends, family, school group or team out for a day of service at the Ronald McDonald House or the Ronald McDonald Family Rooms.

Holiday and Special Events: Groups are always needed to volunteer at special events and charity fundraisers throughout the year as well as during the holiday season.

Groups sizes are limited to 15 people at the Ronald McDonald House and 8 People at the Ronald McDonald Family Room.

For many families staying at the Ronald McDonald House and utilizing the Family Rooms at the hospital, the holidays are often spent far from friends and family. With your help we can make our House a Home for the Holidays, so please sign up here to make the holiday season special and loving for families with ill or injured children!

The Spirit of Children Gala allows us to celebrate our mission and raise funds to help ease the burdens of families with a seriously ill or injured child so they can focus on what matters most – their child. Help us make this a night no one will forget!

Please contact our Volunteer & Outreach Director, Kacie, through email at or by phone at 801-363-4663 to get information about available opportunities and to answer any questions.
