Hospitality Cart Sponsors

In 2017, Ronald McDonald House Charities® of the Intermountain Area launched two Hospitality Cart programs; one at Shriners Hospitals for Children — Salt Lake City, and one at Ogden Regional Medical Center. Since launching these programs in June 2017, we have served over 2,100 families (5,600 individuals) in area medical centers. We are very grateful to be able to bring these resources right to patient rooms and waiting areas. This would not be possible without the support of our community and generous donors!

We are incredibly grateful to our Hospitality Cart Annual Sponsors. Their contributions assist in easing the day-to-day burdens for caregivers and provide needed resources, pick-me-ups, and family-centered activities. We see every day how the little things like a comb, snack, or toiletry item can make a big difference. The support of our sponsors allows volunteers and staff to deliver treats and activities free of charge, directly to patient rooms, lifting spirits and providing care and comfort.

Please join us in giving a heartfelt shout-out to our annual Hospitality Cart Sponsors:

If you or your company would be interested in joining our Hospitality Cart Annual Sponsor team, please email Kacie@rmhslc.org or call at 801-363-4663.

Not only have we been fortunate enough to have the support of the sponsors listed above, but we are also very thankful for the Eagle Scout projects, church group donation drives, and individual donations that we have received since starting this program.

Not only is she warm, caring and approachable, but she really helps our families feel comforted and welcome – which is very important when their child is sick. Spirit of Children Gala Sponsorships

The greatest time of the year is here – well, OK, the OTHER greatest time of the year… The 2018 Spirit of Children Gala will be held at the Grand America Hotel on April 28th, and we couldn’t be more excited for this event. The theme is exotic, the entertainment stellar, the guest list glittering – and the only thing that could make it better is YOU! Each year, the Gala raises money to support the families of children undergoing medical treatment at area hospitals, and the silent auction is a major part of the event. We are reaching out to individuals and businesses who might be interested in making a positive impact simply by donating items or services to be purchased by Gala attendees, and we’d love to include you on our incredible roster of supporters! Please email Jennifer@rmhslc.org with any questions, to receive a donation form or make any arrangements; and feel free to contact Stephanie@rmhslc.org for any information about the event. (Or call us at 801-363-4663!)

If you’re interested in playing a larger part in the success of the Gala, please consider becoming a sponsor. The mission of RMHC is to surround families with the support they need to be near and care for their seriously ill or injured children, which is carried out through two core programs. The Ronald McDonald House, with 72 guest family rooms, offers caregivers the chance to stay close to treatment centers for as long as needed, while the two Ronald McDonald Family Rooms at Primary Children’s Hospital allow overnight stays for parents and guardians. Both are filled with resources and home-like amenities to ease daily stresses and help families be stronger together. These programs are made possible by the generosity of business, organization, and individual partners who serve as event sponsors. At the 2017 Spirit of Children Gala we were able to raise over a million dollars thanks to this incredible community! Don’t miss out – sign up for your sponsorship today by contacting Vickie@rmhslc.org or calling 801-363-4663.

Anniversary Sponsor

Thirty years of serving families through Ronald McDonald House Charities® of the Intermountain Area means thirty years of incredible donors and partners! We’d like to send a huge shout-out to one of the dedicated companies that has not only played a big part in the work that we’ve done over the last few years, but has also stepped up to serve as one of our 30th Anniversary Sponsors. ThomasARTS is an independent ad agency with offices in Washington DC, New York City, and – lucky for us! – Salt Lake City, Utah. Their mission is to help people connect, and they’ve applied that focus to helping the community connect with RMHC.  They have donated countless hours, energy, talent, and resources to building awareness for the Charity, and to making our website attractive and accessible… and to putting together an absolutely PHENOMENAL marketing package to promote RMHC over the next year! (Trust us – between billboards, radio and TV PSAs, and print work you’ll definitely hear about our Thirty Years of Gratitude in the coming months!)

THANK YOU to ThomasARTS for everything you’ve done, and for all that’s still to come. Our partners make a world of difference in the lives of the families and pediatric patients that we serve, and we’re honored you’ve made our mission part of your professional journey!

Hospitality Cart Volunteer

The delightful Kathy Christensen has been volunteering with the Ronald McDonald Hospitality Cart at Ogden Regional Medical Center since July 2017. A resident of Ogden, she and her husband Randy love spending time with family members (including a sweet new grandbaby). Kathy also volunteers with the hospital’s therapy animal program, where she visits patients with a cat named Pansy or with Chummily, a friendly Saint Bernard. When she’s not volunteering, Kathy and Randy might be found driving their 1930’s Model A Ford to car shows with the Beehive A’s vintage vehicle club.

We are so lucky to have Kathy as part of our RMHC team! One of her favorite parts about volunteering with RMHC is “…seeing the smiles from families and how thankful they are. Also, being able to make a sibling’s day with a cute toy or finding the perfect thing they forgot or need makes volunteering with the cart a joy and special experience each day.” It’s not vintage, but the Hospitality Cart with Kathy at the wheel is definitely an exciting show!
