The Ronald McDonald House

Families with an ill or injured child, who must travel to Salt Lake City area hospitals for medical treatment, have the opportunity to stay in our recently expanded and renovated house. We provide a place to sleep, eat, do laundry, and visit with other families. Our dedicated staff and countless volunteers are on-site 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and do everything they can to help families feel at home.

Intermountain Primary Children's Hospital

At 3,545 square feet, the new Ronald McDonald Family Room at Primary Children’s Hospital in Salt Lake City is the largest in the world. Completed in Spring 2013, this Family Room provides a home-like environment for parents of children being treated at Primary Children’s, and includes:

  • Seating areas
  • Quiet room
  • Private showers
  • Fully-stocked kitchen and dining area
  • Laundry facilities
  • Computer area
  • Retreat rooms

The Family Room is open from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., 7 days a week, 365 days a year, and all amenities are provided free of charge.
