We are thrilled to provide a new backyard greenspace and program expansion located directly North of the Ronald McDonald House on M Street. In the 30 years that RMHC has served pediatric patients and their families, there has never been a “yard” to complement the House. Until now!

Carrie Romano, CEO of Ronald McDonald House Charities stated, “This backyard park has been a goal of our organization for many years. To see it finally become a reality, based on the many generous donors we have in our community, is both humbling and incredibly exciting. With studies demonstrating the benefits of open green spaces to physical and mental well-being, to the environment, and to the community, the backyard park will enable families to spend more time together and relax, hope, and build lovely memories outside while they are away from home.”

And, there are still opportunities to get involved. We invite you to join us in support of the backyard Park That LOVE Built and help families with pediatric patient children de-stress, breathe a little more freely, and create valuable memories together.

You can help by filling our park with love and critters…through our Adopt-A-Critter fundraising campaign.  Simply select from a variety of animals and donation levels, and give it a name.  You can click on the “Adopt-a-Critter ” link here or below to finalize your donation/adoption.

Then look for your Critter in our Park where it will live on forever – bringing joy to thousands of children and families.  It’s the perfect way to memorialize or honor a loved one or establish a legacy for current and future patient families to enjoy!
