Our Home for the Holidays
The holiday season can be especially hard for families with children receiving medical care far from home. Your generous support allows Ronald McDonald House Charities to offer a comforting home-away-from-home for the holidays. Make a meaningful impact by volunteering or donating throughout the holidays.
Winter Wonderland Shop
Guests at the Ronald McDonald House can “shop” for gifts for their family at no cost at our Winter Wonderland Shop. Gifts are donated by our supportive community and people like you. Drop gifts off at the House on South Temple or purchase items from our Amazon Wish List and they’ll be delivered directly to the House. We also need helpful volunteer “elves” to assist with organizing and wrapping gifts.
Adopt-a-Meal
Few things unite a family like a delightful holiday feast! We rely on dedicated volunteers like you to prepare and serve meals at the Ronald McDonald House and the Family Room at Primary Children’s Hospital. You can help us guarantee full tummies and cherished holiday memories for our guests, young and old. Sign up in December to bestow the gift of nourishment this festive season.
Host a Holiday Activity
You can volunteer to host a fun-filled activity for our guests during the holidays. Make gingerbread houses, paint by numbers, create snowflake crafts—check out all the possibilities at the signup link below or contact us with your own ideas. We’re also always looking for volunteers for help with cleaning and organizing at the House.
Your Donations Make It Possible
What started as a 13-room house in 1988 has grown to a 75-room house in Salt Lake City, along with three Ronald McDonald Family Rooms in Primary Children’s Hospital and one at the University of Utah, and a Hospitality Cart at Ogden Regional Medical Center. With the help of our community over the last thirty five years, we have served over 125,000 families!
