Volunteer
Opportunities

The impact our volunteers have cannot adequately be described with words. From the house to the family rooms, at special events and even off site they are making our mission possible by dedicating their time and talents; making families stronger and RMHC better. Explore the many ways, individuals, groups, businesses and other organizations are getting involved to make our house a home-away-from-home.

Volunteer Individual Options

Holiday and Special Events: Individuals are always needed to volunteer at special events and charity fundraisers throughout the year as well as during the holiday season.

School Service: School Service Volunteers help out with numerous projects in many departments and program areas. They are designed for students 16 years and older.

Activity Volunteer Groups

Ronald McDonald House Activity Calendar: Host an Activity for families at RMHC!

Sign-up to bring smiles and fun to pediatric patient families staying at the Ronald McDonald House! See our Activity Calendar for some exciting ideas of activities, such as craft projects and outdoor bowling, and sign up to host an activity onsite! Activity groups provide the supplies and materials for the activity, set up and clean up and host the activity for about 15 individuals.

In order to keep this volunteer activity safe for you, our guest families and staff, we have put some modifications in place:

  • Groups are limited to 7 individuals or less. Any volunteers under 18 must have ample adult supervision to ensure their safety, all safety guidelines are followed, and maintain the peaceful space we aim to provide for our guest families.
  • Please arrive with enough time to take a 15-minute rapid covid test, prep and set up your activity and be ready to host by 7pm. We also ask that you leave some time after your activity for clean up!
  • We ask that any group members stay home if they are feeling ill

You can view the days and activities that are already assigned and decide if it’s an activity you would like to do. If not, you can still sign up for the day and time but let our Hospitality Manager, Jason Luu, know what activity you are planning. Just email him at jason@rmhslc.org.

Please contact our Volunteer & Outreach Director, Kacie, through email at kacie@rmhslc.org or by phone at 801-363-4663 to get information about available opportunities and to answer any questions.
