Winter Wonderland at

Ronald McDonald House Charities®

Almost everyone experiences additional stress during the hustle and bustle of the holiday season.  But for many families this holiday season, they had to spend the holidays away from home while their sick or injured child was being treated at a local hospital. Our guests who were with us during the holidays were particularly hard hit as they struggled with their child’s health during a time of the year that is traditionally joyous and family oriented.  Mindful of their financial and emotional struggle, we provided a holiday program where both parents and children felt comforted and more secure under their unsettling circumstances.

To help lift their spirits and lighten their load, we created a special Winter Wonderland inside the Ronald McDonald House where 265 individuals from 70 different families staying at the House received holiday gifts as well as extra amenities to help restore their spirits during this difficult time.  The room was filled with gifts for every age… infant, toddler, teen and even mom and dad!  Additionally, we were able to provide 162 holiday gift bags to families visiting our Ronald McDonald Family Room at Primary Children’s Hospital.

We are truly grateful for the outpouring of love given by the community who helped to share in the magic of our Winter Wonderland by donating gifts from our holiday wish list as well as volunteering to help families select presents and wrap them up!   We were only able to make this kind of magic possible through support from our donors and volunteers who brought to life a giving, loving holiday season at Ronald McDonald House Charities.  Thank you!

2018 Sponsorship Packet

2018 is a milestone anniversary year for RMHC. Events throughout the year will highlight not only the thousands of ill or injured children and their families that we serve, but also the deeply committed donors and sponsors whose support allows those families to be stronger together through our two core programs: the Ronald McDonald House and Ronald McDonald Family Rooms.

As 2018 begins, we hope that you will consider including Ronald McDonald House Charities of the Intermountain Area in your budget for this year. To help in your planning process, please take a look at the sponsorship packet with information on our annual programs – Gala, Golf and Adopt-A-Room – as well as a unique opportunity to become a ’30 Years of Gratitude’ Anniversary Sponsor. We sincerely hope you will be able to participate in one or more of these funding opportunities.

Your support of our fundraisers is deeply appreciated and immediately impactful – each gift brings comfort to children facing a disabling disease or physical injury, and creates a support system for their families with a place to rest and regroup. For thirty years Ronald McDonald House Charities has offered a home, not just a room, to these courageous families.

If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to contact Vickie Moschetti, Chief Development Officer, by phone at 801-363-4663 or email at vickie@rmhslc.org. Thank you for your commitment to join with us in helping families be stronger together.

Celebrating 30 Years of Gratitude!

We are celebrating our anniversary with a year focused on gratitude. For 30 years we have been surrounding parents and guardians with the support they need to be near and care for their seriously ill or injured children.

We are thankful for amazing advances in medicine over the last three decades, and for the caring hospital personnel who treat pediatric patients.  We are thankful for the courage and dedication of the families who come to stay and support their children, and for the volunteers who fill the Charity with love.  And we are deeply thankful for the generous sponsors and donors who impact for the better the lives of guest families – and whose contributions make our mission possible.
