12 Months of Love and Support in 2020

We need you to help give a child and their family a home away from home near the hospital! When a child and their family are facing a health crisis, it doesn’t matter that it’s a new year or a new decade. They’re still facing the same battle: to get better.

You can help.

Your monthly gift will offer a child and their family a place to stay together – and all the comforts of home. A monthly gift of $25 provides one night of lodging and support at Ronald McDonald House Charities of the Intermountain Area each month.

While we provide a loving place to stay, meals and other support, YOU are at the heart of everything we do. Your gift of $25 a month will provide a night’s stay in Salt Lake City every month for the rest of 2020.

A Special Visit from Santa

Many families find themselves away from home during the holidays while their child is being treated at a local hospital. During this time of year, it is extra difficult to be away from home and loved ones while trying to figure out how to provide a joyful holiday experience for your family. This is where the community that supports us comes together to ease some of this burden and bring love and light to our families this time of year.

In the days leading up to Christmas, we create a special Winter Wonderland boutique where parents can come and “shop” for the gifts that have been donated to the House for their children, their significant other, and themselves. The room is filled with gifts for every age and is a wondrous sight to see. In addition to Winter Wonderland – volunteer groups put together gift bags for the families who were up at Primary Children’s Hospital and guests in our Family Room.

On Christmas morning, Santa was able to deliver the presents to our House guests. Thank you to our community, volunteers, donors, staff, and to Santa and all his helpers, for the magical experience of Winter Wonderland and Christmas morning at the Ronald McDonald House

Gala Sponsorship Packet Now Available!

The Ronald McDonald House puts together one of the premiere fundraising events in Salt Lake City that welcomes over 1200 attendees. This year our destination theme is Monte Carlo, Monaco – 2020 Splendor meets 1920’s Glamour. We would love for you to be involved.

The 2020 Gala Sponsorship Package is now available ! You can support us by purchasing an individual ticket, becoming a sponsor, or even putting together a gift basket for our silent auction valued at $100 or more. All of the proceeds from these activities go to help support families caring for their ill or injured child. We hope you can join us on Saturday, April 25 at The Grand America. New Year’s Resolution – Giving Back to my Community

At the beginning of the year it is a shared tradition to take stock of what we want to invite into our lives and the improvements we want to make for the coming year. It is no surprise that many people value community involvement as a high priority and are looking for ways to become more engaged.

At Ronald McDonald House Charities we have a variety of ways for you to directly get involved in our work and impact the families that stay with us. Below are some options and resources to get more involved in 2020. We certainly look forward to seeing you this year!

If you are looking for volunteer opportunities, click here.

You can collect Wish List items or get information on collecting Pop Tabs, which are recycled to provide funds for our programs.

You can Adopt-A-Meal at the House or the Family Room at Primary Children’s Hospital.

Or you can become a monthly donor. Your $5 monthly donation helps to keep our shelves stocked with food items and toiletries that our families rely upon.

Facebook Fundraisers

In 2019 everyone who hosted a Facebook Fundraiser made a great impact. Here is how the numbers break down:

185 people hosted fundraisers on our behalf
633 individuals donated money to these fundraisers

In total, they raised almost $20,000 and helped to cover the complete cost for 150 families staying one night at the Ronald McDonald House.
But, did you know that you can create a Facebook Birthday Fundraiser and help support our pediatric patients and their families too? Let’s make 2020 even more impactful than 2019.
