Kilts for Kids – Nominations Now Open!

We are excited to announce that nominations are now open for our annual “Kilts for Kids” event (formerly Good Men & Kilts).

You can nominate a person or a team/company by emailing Stephanie Stevenswith the nominee’s name, company (if applicable) and email address!

Each nominee and/or team works with Ronald McDonald House Charities to raise money via email, social media, and events through the month of October. You collect votes with each $25 donation. The individual/team with the most number of votes will become the Kilts for Kids Champion.

Important Dates/Milestones:
August 2019
Kilt/Sash Photoshoot – Schedule and participate in a photo shoot wearing kilt(s) or sashes for your campaign (we have some available for your use)

September 19, 2019  
Kickoff Breakfast – Meet your fellow “Kilter Teams”, receive your “Kilter Kits”, and get excited for a fun month of fundraising for a great cause!

October 2019
Kilts for Kids Event! Work with Ronald McDonald House Charities to help raise funds for the pediatric patients and their families that we serve.

November 8, 2019
Awards Luncheon – Come and celebrate your success with your supporters, donors, and fellow kilters. Awards will be given for multiple categories, including the Kilt Champion.

Profile of 2018 King of the Kilts – Jim Turnbull

Jim Turnbull is a member of the Ronald McDonald House Charities board of directors, the Chief Information Officer for University of Utah Health, and was crowned as the 2018 King of Kilts!

In his profile, he stated, “Going back hundreds of years, both sides of my family are of Scottish origin and darn proud of it! Many a kilt has been worn by the clan and this event provides one more wonderful opportunity to do so. Combining this background with my 43 years working in the health care industry made “Good Men & Kilts” an obvious event in which to participate. Thank you so much for your support.”

He was successful with 485 votes to his name!

Golf Sponsorships Still Available

The Annual Ronald McDonald House Charities Golf Tournament will take place at Jeremy Ranch on Monday, August 19, 2019. We have a few sponsorship opportunities remaining. It’s a great way to have a wonderful day, network with colleagues and other business leaders, and help a great cause!

Car Donation Program

Did you know that you can help Ronald McDonald House Charities when you donate your old car. The sale of even a single vehicle can provide significant, real-world differences to our families. How much of a difference? You may be surprised! Vehicle donation is a quick and simple way to help make a difference for families during challenging times.

• Donate cars, trucks, SUV’s, motorcycles, boats – if it has a motor, it can help.
• Any condition, even if it’s dinged, damaged, rusted or doesn’t start at all.
• We’ll have it picked up for free, and you may qualify for a tax deduction!
