An Update from Ronald McDonald House Charities – Fulfilling a Mission during COVID-19

We are happy to report that we have been able to continue our mission of supporting pediatric patient families, even during this unique time in our history. Since suspending our normal operations, we have served almost 100 families in safe, temporary off-site housing. We are working with them to provide transportation to and from our area hospitals, have helped to secure rental cars at no cost in a partnership with Mark Miller Subaru, and have been able to provide grocery gift cards and donated meals from area restaurants.

We look forward to the time we can resume operations in the Ronald McDonald House and Ronald McDonald Family Rooms, but in the meantime, we will continue to safely provide support for our pediatric patient families when they need it the most.

Our 2020 Virtual Gala

Thank you so much for helping to make our 2020 virtual gala a success beyond our wildest dreams. We are so full of gratitude for everyone in our community (both near and far) who continue to support us – even when things are tough. Between the Facebook Lives, the KUTV2 special broadcast, and all of the engagement via our silent auction, we had over 6500 people “attend” our virtual gala this year – 2303 who actively registered for our virtual auction! Not only that, you helped us raise funds critical to delivering our mission now and in the future. Thank you for your support and generosity!
Donate Your Vehicle for A Good Cause

Did you know that you can help Ronald McDonald House Charities when you donate your old car. The sale of even a single vehicle can provide significant, real-world differences to our families. How much of a difference? You may be surprised! Vehicle donation is a quick and simple way to help make a difference for families during challenging times.

  • Donate cars, trucks, SUV’s, motorcycles, boats – if it has a motor, it can help.
  • Any condition, even if it’s dinged, damaged, rusted or doesn’t start at all.
  • We’ll have it picked up for free, and you may qualify for a tax deduction!

Meet the Young Family

The Young Family has been coming to the Ronald McDonald House for a couple of years now. What started as a needed respite while they sought help for their eldest daughter has truly turned into a “home away from home” while they access additional care for their other children. Here is their story in their own words.

Facebook Birthdays and Nate Wade Subaru!

We announced last month that Nate Wade Subaru was matching every Facebook birthday donation made up to a total of $5,000. It’s their way of saying, Happy Birthday and also their way to Share the Love during this time.

And April was an amazing month for Facebook birthday fundraisers. We raised $2,300 to help support the mission of RonaldMcDonald House Charities and with Nate Wade Subaru’s match, that is a total of $4,600 to help pediatric patient families!

There is still more available to be matched. So if you have a birthday coming up and would like to create a Facebook Birthday Fundraiser, you can click this LINK.
