Calling All Former Families to Become a McDonald’s Ambassador

Are you a family who has stayed at our Ronald McDonald House, visited the Family Rooms at Primary Children’s Hospital, or been served by Ronald McDonald Hospitality Cart at Ogden Regional Medical Center or Shriner’s Hospital for Children? If so, we would love to invite you to be one of our McDonald’s Ambassadors. Once (maybe twice) a year, we will send you gift cards so you and your family can get a treat while visiting your local McDonald’s and sharing your story with the owner and crews. We would love to be able to make sure all of our McDonald’s stores get visited by a family. If you would be interested in this, please email Stephanie Stevens.

Grand Giver Dinner

We are grateful for the generous and thoughtful support of our 2019 Cornerstones of Love Grand Givers! Their meaningful charitable support allows us to keep tens of thousands of families close when they need each other most through our Ronald McDonald House, Ronald McDonald Family Rooms at Primary Children’s Hospital and Hospitality Carts at Ogden Regional Medical Center and Shriner’s Hospital for Children. By keeping families close, we allow parents to focus their attention on what matters most – their child.

We were delighted to show our gratitude with a lovely Grand Giver Toast and Appreciation Dinner on October 24th at La Caille. The entire event was generously underwritten by our gracious hosts, allowing us to provide the highest quality culinary adventure and thoughtful wine pairing for our guests while ensuring their Grand Giver donation would go directly to support the families served by Ronald McDonald House Charities. We extend our deepest appreciation to our event underwriters for making the evening possible:

Home for the Holidays

For many families staying at our Ronald McDonald House and Family Rooms, the holidays are often spent far from home and family. With your help, we can make our House a Home for the Holidays! This year we have received an abundance of gifts for children. If you are looking for a specific way to help a family during the holidays, we would appreciate you helping us support our teen and adult gifts.

Due to the immune compromised nature of many of our guests, we request that all gifts be new, unused and in original packaging. We also appreciate gift cards to Costco, Amazon, Lowes, Home Depot, Target and Walmart this time of year. Our full Home for the Holidays Wish List is available online.

#GivingTuesday

This year, Giving Tuesday 2019 is December 3. Each year, the movement inspires people to take action on the Tuesday after Thanksgiving. Giving Tuesday brings the power of social media to connect and encourage people to give back to their communities during the holiday season. Givers are invited to take action through donations, volunteering, advocacy, acts of kindness and more. Anyone can be a part of Giving Tuesday, including families, individuals, companies and organizations.

Kendra Scott Night on December 6th  

Kendra Scott is hosting a night on Friday, December 6th from 6-8pm where 20% of all proceeds will benefit us! If you have anyone on your holiday shopping list who would love some beautiful and unique jewelry, join us on that Friday night. Not only will you check something off your list and something beautiful for your loved one, you will do some real good for families in need this holiday season!

There will be sips, sweets and of course the jewels! Join us and RSVP for what will be a great evening for a great cause!

National Vehicle Donation Day

Did you know that you literally hold the keys to #KeepingFamiliesClose? This Friday, November 15th is National RMHC Vehicle Donation Day! Whether you donate your vehicle today or any other day, one car really can make a difference. Every vehicle donation to Ronald McDonald House Charities of the Intermountain Area is another night, another meal, another chance for families of hospitalized children to be together in a place that feels like home at our Ronald McDonald House and Ronald McDonald Family Rooms. You Loved It! The post that got the most reactions in October was our cute Kenzlee and her special moment in our Magic Room. This courageous young girl garnered so many likes and shares, it is one of the most popular posts we have ever shared – and you can see why. This truly is a magical moment!
