30th Anniversary Event

We were so glad to celebrate our 30th Anniversary with a Fall Festival of love and joy last month! Thank you to the pediatric patient families, volunteers, founders, donors, staff, neighbors and board members who have inspired our mission over the last 30 years, and thank you to Zions Bank for their 30th Anniversary Sponsorship!

Cornerstones of Love
Grand Giver Appreciation Event

We are grateful for the generous and thoughtful support of our 2018 Cornerstones of Love Grand Givers! Their meaningful charitable support allows us to keep tens of thousands of families close when they need each other most through our Ronald McDonald House®, Ronald McDonald Family Rooms® at Primary Children’s Hospital and Hospitality Carts at Ogden Regional Medical Center and Shriner’s Hospital for Children.  By keeping families close, we allow parents to focus their attention on what matters most – their child.

We were delighted to show our gratitude with a lovely Grand Giver Toast and Appreciation Dinner on October 18th at La Caille. The entire event was generously underwritten by our gracious hosts, allowing us to provide the highest quality culinary adventure and thoughtful wine pairing for our guests while ensuring their Grand Giver donation would go directly to support the families served by Ronald McDonald House Charities. We extend our deepest appreciation to our event underwriters for making the evening possible:

David & Colleen Merrill
Don Goldberg & Annette Gaiotti
Charles & Terry Williams

We are thrilled that this year we have earned the support of nearly 200 Grand Givers in our Cornerstones of Love Grand Giver Program! We want to thank all of our new Grand Givers, as well as those who have been part of the program since it began in 2005. You have our heartfelt gratitude!

Cornerstones of Love Grand Giver Program:

When difficulties arise in the life of a child, focus often narrows to the things that matter most: things like home and family. The mission of Ronald McDonald House Charities of the Intermountain Area (RMHC) is to surround families with the support they need to be near and care for their seriously ill or injured children – such as providing a place to call home while their child receives life-saving medical treatment at a local hospital and staying together as a family.

It is through the support of our generous community that we are able to help families hold on to precious time together. Our Cornerstones of Love Grand Giver Program is comprised of a special group of individuals who make a personal annual direct gift of $1,000 or greater to ensure that the doors of the Ronald McDonald House remain open to all who need our services, now and in the future. Grand Givers are undoubtedly the cornerstone of love for thousands of families each year; coming together with a shared vision and determination to better our community. As a Grand Giver to RMHC you are the foundation of our work – you provide the profound, immediate support that makes our day-to-day programming possible and directly impacts families in need.

Your contribution will help to ease daily burdens and empower families of hospitalized children with meaningful experiences and quality time together.

Cox Family

Krosby Cox is a vibrant 8 year old who has inspired her friends, family, and all who have heard her story. This year she was diagnosed with, and battled Osteosarcoma, an aggressive cancer. She endured multiple rounds of chemotherapy and was recently fit for a new prosthetic leg. It was always a great day when we were able to see her and her radiant smile. Through this long journey, she and her family were able to find a “home-away-from-home” at the Ronald McDonald House and our Family Room.

Home for the Holidays

For many families staying at the Ronald McDonald House and Family Room, the last few months of the year are often spent far from home and family. With your help we can make our House a home for the holidays!

Every year, Our ‘Home for the Holidays’ program offers extra love and celebration during November and December. We decorate guest spaces, provide holiday gift packages, and give families the opportunity to select presents from the donated items in our ‘Winter Wonderland’, offering a festive experience at their home-away-from-home to shower patients, parents, and siblings with cheer and goodwill during a particularly challenging time of year.

This year we have received an abundance of gifts for children, but would appreciate help and support specifically for our teen and adult guests. We request that all gifts be new, unused, and in original packaging. We invite you to help bring the holiday spirit to Ronald McDonald House Charities and provide our families with the comforting feeling that even while they are away from their homes, our House provides them with their own special home for the holidays.

We warmly invite you to consider participating in ‘Home for the Holidays’ by donating an item, gift card, or service. All opportunities for donations and volunteering can be found HERE.
Happy Holidays!

McDonald’s “give a hand.” Fundraiser

The 2018 “give a hand.” Fundraiser will be held from November 27-December 9 in area McDonald’s restaurants. During this time, customers can donate $1, $3 or $5 each time they visit McDonald’s and will receive a coupon for a free fry or hashbrown on their next visit at participating restaurants. All of the funds raised through our local stores will provide a home away from home and help to keep families of pediatric patients together. On behalf of our families, thanks in advance for giving us a hand!

You hold the Keys to
#KeepingFamiliesClose

One car really can make a difference! Every vehicle donation to Ronald McDonald House Charities of the Intermountain Area is another night, another meal, another chance for families of hospitalized children to be together in a place that feels like home at our Ronald McDonald House and Ronald McDonald Family Rooms.

There’s no better way to get rid of an old vehicle than donating it to a charity – and we make donating your vehicle Fast, Free & Easy. Vehicle donation is a quick and simple way to help make a difference for families during challenging times.

  • Donate cars, trucks, SUV’s, motorcycles, boats – if it has a motor, it can help.
  • Any condition, even if it’s dinged, damaged, rusted or doesn’t start at all.
  • We’ll have it picked up for free, and you may qualify for a tax deduction!

If you think that old car in your driveway isn’t worth much, we would like to turn that thinking around. By donating your car, truck, boat or RV to Ronald McDonald House Charities of the Intermountain Area, you can help provide families a place to call home and keep them together during the hospitalization of a seriously ill or injured child. And on top of that, you may qualify for a tax deduction for your charitable donation! We’ll even pick up your vehicle at no charge.

Tell a friend or a neighbor, and make the most of an old vehicle!

Donate a vehicle today!  To donate your vehicle, please click on this link Vehicle Donation Program or call toll free 855-227-7435 (CarsHelp).
