Meet Shay – Our Courageous Cancer Warrior!

September is National Childhood Cancer Month. We see hundreds of families each year who are supporting their child battling cancer. One such little girl is Shay who has effectively stolen all of our hearts at the Ronald McDonald House. Diagnosed with a rare brain tumor, her battle has included surgery, chemotherapy, and radiation. To read her full story written by her warrior mother, click on this link:

Cars 4 Kids Charity Fundraising with Cool Cars

If you happened to spot a line of the coolest-looking sports cars in the mountains of Utah earlier this month, chances are you saw a small piece of the Cars 4 Kids Rally. Each year, drivers come together to drive their amazing sports cars throughout the State of Utah and collect toys and raise money for Ronald McDonald House Charities and the families we serve. Last year was a record with $15,000 raised and of course the hundreds – or thousands – of toys that we use to bring some magic to the kiddos staying at the House and Family Room. Thank you Cars 4 Kids and all of your drivers for raising money and magic in such a fun way!

Podcast Spotlight – Clark Stringham

Did you know that Ronald McDonald House Charities of the Intermountain Area has a podcast?  You can find all our episodes by searching Ronald McDonald House Stories Podcast. This month we want to spotlight a special episode.

Two years ago in September 2019, we lost one of our most ardent champions: Clark Stringham. Clark was a supporter of the Ronald McDonald House from the very beginning and supported our mission through his work as a McDonald’s owner and through his individual philanthropy with his amazing wife Barbara. We are lucky enough to have recorded his story for our podcast!

In this episode, Clark talks about how the original RMHC Intermountain Area founders broke ground on the House, what his funniest memories of that time are, and what he loves about the mission.

Adopt-A-Meal for Ronald McDonald Families

As many of you know, with the onset of COVID-19, we have not been able to welcome volunteer meal groups onsite at the Ronald McDonald House or Ronald McDonald Family Room. And yet, we continue to need your help now more than ever!

We have come up with a modified plan for community members to support our meal program by signing up to either provide financial support to cover a meal or to order and arrange delivery for individual, catered meals to the Ronald McDonald House. We need your help to provide as many meals as possible.
